Partnership FAQs

A Premier Financial Services Company

We are excited to form a premier financial service company with Old National Bank.

Partnership Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Over the next few months, we’ll continue working to combine the best of our companies with a renewed focus on helping our clients achieve financial success. Once the transition is complete, likely in the late spring or early summer of 2022, First Midwest will operate solely under the Old National name. As such, you should continue to bank with Old National as you do today.

Also, if you have Old National Wealth Management accounts with us, including Old National Investments1 services, those are NOT impacted by this merger.

A: Last year, Old National Bancorp entered into an agreement and plan of merger with First Midwest Bancorp, Inc.  With the closing of the merger on February 16, 2022, First Midwest Bank is a division of Old National Bank. The two companies will operate as Old National Bank likely by summer of 2022.

This won’t change our approach to serving our clients! We are still the same client- and community-focused bank you’ve come to expect. Through this partnership, we’ve now expanded our footprint and ATM network, and in coming together, it has provided us with additional scale and resources to serve all of our clients even better.

A:

  • First Midwest’s culture and values align with Old National's. We are both focused on getting to know our clients and helping them reach their goals and strengthening and supporting our communities.
  • It will help us serve all our clients better. This partnership provides us with additional resources that will allow us to serve all clients better. For instance, we expect it to accelerate some of our plans to enhance our technology for the benefit of our clients and team members.
  • It positions us to be an even stronger and more secure bank for years to come. Ultimately, our goal is to be THE premier bank in the Midwest, serving ALL clients exceptionally well, while maintaining our culture, integrity and commitment to community.

A: Absolutely! As a combined company, we remain a community bank that prides itself on serving our clients well and helping to strengthen and support ALL of our communities. First Midwest and Old National share a very similar culture when it comes to a commitment to exceptional client service, ethical standards and corporate social responsibility.

A: Our commitment to our existing clients and communities is not changing. We are simply growing as a community bank, and we're gaining even more resources and expertise to serve you — and all of our clients — better. In fact, you will soon have full access to more than 250 banking centers across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin to manage your ONB account(s).

For now, you can:
